DIY LOVE: Ozdoby dyniowe - Halloween dla dzieci

Halloween przed nami. Czas strachów, potworów, słodyczy rozdawanych na siatki, a także czas królowania DYŃ. Klasyczne wycinanie w dyni grymasów to klasyk amerykański - wszyscy to znamy i wykonanie takiej ozdoby dla chcącego nie stanowi dużego problemu (choć zajmuje sporo czasu). W sieci roi się natomiast również od bardziej oryginalnych pomysłów ozdoby pomarańczowych warzyw i to właśnie te pomysły zebrałam dla Was w dwóch odrębnych wpisach na blogu. Dzisiaj zajmujemy się pomysłami do wykonania typowo wspólnie z dziećmi, oraz pomysłami atrakcyjnymi dla dzieci.

Wrap tree branch "antlers" with yarn for a colorful woodland creature.
How to make it: Start with a plain white pumpkin, such as Lumina. Wind yarn tightly around branches in a color-blocked pattern, using image as a guide. Secure loose yarn ends to branches with hot-glue. To insert antlers, drill two holes into the upper third of the shell, angling the drill bit down so ant-lers stick up, not out. Attach button eyes, a triangle felt nose, and pin-ched felt triangle ears with hot-glue.

Put a friendly face on this clever fella with playful coiled yarn.
How to make it: Outline face onto the surface in pencil, using image as a guide. For eyes, hot-glue black and orange yarn in a spiral pattern directly onto pumpkin surface. Hot-glue a continuous piece of white yarn in a teardop pattern, repeating until space is filled. Outline the eyes with rust yarn as shown, then add a black yarn mouth and a black pom-pom nose. For ears, glue felt on cover-weight paper backing ($3.75; papersource.com). Cut into triangles, trim with rust yarn, and adhere to pumpkin with glue.

Trick-or-treaters will get a real hoot out of this wide-eyed bird.
How to make it: Use hot-glue to secure head and body pumpkins together. Cut out two circles (roughly the size of a cupcake liner bottom) from light brown paper and insert them into two white liners. For the pupils, add two smaller round black dots. To create lashes, cut a brown cupcake liner in half and glue each half to the side of each white liner. Hot-glue completed eyes to the pumpkin. For wings, cut a brown and a white liner in half and paste to sides of bottom pumpkin as shown. Cut triangle beak and feet from black card stock. Glue to body.
